Hepatitis B is virus that can be sexually transmitted, be passed on via exchange of body fluids or across the placenta. It has serious effects on your health and can cause liver failure and cancer. The good news is that there is a vaccine that can protect you from this infection. This works most effectively if it is given before a risky exposure. It consists of three vaccines and a blood test afterwards to check that it has worked. We offer vaccines from £100. Enquire for more details.

Take control of your Sexual Health
No CommentsMost of us lead busy lives. There’s often no escape from email, iPhones, social media – we live in the fast lane. It’s easy to forget to look after our health, when we are juggling so many other things in life. Our sexual health is often low priority. However, sex is often an important part of our lives, so it’s essential we stay healthy to enjoy it. Sexually transmitted infections like Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, Herpes and Syphilis are common and easy to catch via unprotected oral, vaginal and anal sex. Have you had a STD / STI test recently?
We provide specialist care, rapid testing, treatment and support. We are Specialists and our clinics are not run by GP’s or nurses. We provide gold standard care for patients who want the best care available at a realistic price. Call us on 0845 868 4480 or 07531 194 797 to discuss our tests in complete confidence. Registered and regulated by Health Inspectorate Wales.
Antibiotic Apocalypse and Gonorrhoea
No CommentsSexual health experts around the World are concerned that soon there may be no antibiotics left to treat Gonorrhoea. A terrible future could be on the horizon, a future which rips one of the greatest tolls of medicine (antibiotics) from the hands of doctors.
Simple antibiotic treatments for Gonorrhoea are no longer working in many cases of this infection across the World and in the UK. This is very serious, as Gonorrhoea can spread through the body. If you are concerned about Gonorrhoea firstly get tested and then follow the advice of a specialist doctor. Our price for Gonorrhoea/Chlamydia tests and an appointment with a doctor starts at £99. Results back quickly and treatment available.
STD in Wales and the West
No CommentsIt’s official that rates of sexually transmitted infections / STI / STD are on the increase in Wales and the West of England. There are many cases of Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, Herpes, HPV, genital warts, HIV, Syphilis and Hepatitis in these regions. Many infections are present with no obvious outward symptoms. Because of this Chlamydia, Herpes, HPV, HIV, Syphilis and Gonorrhoea can spread quickly and quietly. Get tested if you think you are at risk.
Are you confused about HIV tests?
No CommentsAre you considering a HIV test? Looking for HIV tests online can be confusing. Firstly, there are lots of different tests. Secondly, they are often not explained properly. Finally, there is the question of cost- why do prices vary?
Large commercial STI testing companies and pharmacies do not always make it clear which test is best for you. Our doctors are able to advise you appropriately and as recommended by the British Association of Sexual Health and HIV and the British HIV Association – so we can recommend the test that is right for you. We are not just about profits but about patient care and use cutting edge tests that are validated.
We offer gold standard HIV tests with results back overnight. We also have in-clinic tests with instant results – Point of Care tests or POCT- and early detection tests, and can give you all the information you need to know about how these tests work, how reliable they are and whether they are right for your circumstances. Call us today to enquire about appointments and get the right HIV test for you!

HIV, it’s more common than you think!
No CommentsMany people are unaware that HIV infection is a significant health problem in the UK today. Over 30 years ago the first recognised cases of AIDS (acquired immune deficiency syndrome) were found in the USA.
AIDS is caused by the virus HIV. Worldwide, there are approximately 30 million people living with HIV. In the UK it is estimated that there are more than 100 000 people living with HIV.
HIV treatment has seen major advances. If HIV is detected and treated, it is not always life threatening, but can be seen as a manageable, chronic, life-long disease. The major cause of death is due to late detection of HIV and its sequelae.
It is estimated that in the UK a quarter of people with HIV do not know that they have it. Early diagnosis is really important and really easy to arrange.
We offer excellent HIV tests in our clinic. Some of these tests can give you very quick results. These rapid tests can help make a diagnosis more quickly and reduce the time you need to wait for a result. Sadly, these tests are not widely available on the NHS at the moment. Please enquire to arrange your HIV test at our clinics.
Sunshine, STD’s and Autumn blues
No CommentsNow that the holiday is over…
This time of year our clinic is always very active. Most people are sad to see the Summer months passing and feel Autumn in the air.
Many people will have fond memories of their summer holiday in this country or abroad. However, after the sun has gone and the party feeling disappeared, concerns and worries can start to creep into our heads about STI’s/STD’s. Often romance fuelled by ‘Sun, Sand, Sea and Sangria’ can lead to more risky sexual behaviour than we are used to.
Perhaps a holiday romance led to unprotected sex or a condom splitting? Perhaps you are now worried that you may have an STI/STD? Often these infections have no symptoms and if you are worried we recommend that you get tested. It may seem daunting and you may feel like burying your head in the sand, but the sooner you find out about a STI, the sooner treatment can begin. This means that an infection is much less likely to affect your long term health. Our clinic is small, private, confidential and non-judgmental. Our primary aim is to look after you sexual health. Facing the Autumn without the worry of sexually transmitted diseases will make the future brighter.
